PAALL Alumni Association  Story
By:  Rodolfo Salon

A seed in order for it to germinate and grow into a seedling, it has to land in a fertile soil and has to be watered for it to get the nutrients
from the fertile soil. In the same way and fashion that the PAALL Alumni Association has came to be what it is right now. It is indeed a
seedling for this Association has just begun; it is in its infancy; a seedling so full of promise and potentials.

teachers and all her school friends.   Arsenia asked herself a question “Where are all those nice people nowadays?” There’s only one way to
find the answer. Being a person of action she did something about it.  Arsenia took the first on ramp to the information superhighway
(thanks God for technology) and googled Asingan School of Arts and Trades and that landed her at Pangasinan. Org.
(thanks God for technology) and googled Asingan School of Arts and Trades and that landed her at Pangasinan. Org.

The first announcement was a call for all her classmates, enumerated their names (amazing after so many years she still remember them)
and her desire to have a class re-union. The first to respond to that announcement was Marcie Tesoro of Maui (formerly Marcie Lucero of
Domanpot).  Marcie is not an alumni but she recognizes a good idea when she see one and she pledged her full support. Then two alumni
brothers from California responded, Loreto Salon (ASAT Batch 1984) and Rodolfo Salon (ASAT Batch 1972). They’re both from Bantog.
After a few e-mails and telephone conversations, these three alumni decided initially to call this new association the ASAT/LMMSAT Alumni
Association and agreed on adopting Marcie as alumna so thus the adopt an alumni program was born.

After some inquiries, it was learned that the school has went through further changes and it’s now called the LMMHS, incidentally that was
added to the association name. These four alums, Arsenia, Marcie, Loreto and Rodolfo embarked in a more concerted effort to advertise
and recruit members.  Loreto created a website for the association to facilitate the recruitment and as a source of information for all
members.  With the help of the Internet and the Pangasinan.Org in particular, the response was overwhelming exceeding all their
expectations.  An alumni noted that he want to join but the name of his school wasn’t included, a quick teleconference from Texas to
California to Hawaii quickly resolved the problem by adding Asingan High School to the Association. Arsenia, being a consummate recruiter
who doesn’t take “NO” for an answer, used up tons of telephone minutes calling alumni all over the world encouraging everyone to pass the
word along.  One afternoon she received a phone call from a couple from Florida asking how about Pacifican Institute of Asingan, it is
same school.  Another teleconference and they adopted the “NO ALUMNI LEFT BEHIND” approach. Now the Association evolved to its
present name PAALL Alumni Association (Pacifican Institute of Asingan, Asingan High School, Asingan School of Arts and Trades,
Luciano Millian Memorial School of Arts and Trades, Luciano Millian Memorial High School).  Taking all alumni under one umbrella making
sure that no alumni is left behind no matter where they are; no matter what they are..

Setting up the Board of Directors and the By-Laws were done through the cyberspace and telephone lines, Loreto in particular burned his
night oil drafting the By-laws.  Through constant communications the organizational chart and by-laws were drafted.  Making sure the rules
of the organization are made to safeguard its ultimate purpose of CARING and HELPING the less fortunate alumni, helping improve the
ALMA MATER and the ASINGAN COMMUNITY as a whole with HONESTY and DEDICATION.

Now that the seed had became a seedling.  It is now in the hands of every ALUMNI to nurture it, to maintain it and to continue caring for it
to fulfill it’s full potential and to realize it’s promise of CARING and HELPING improve the life here in the place where all ALUMNI had
started their foundation in LIFE, the town we call the ASINGAN, PANGASINAN.  May this ALUMNI ASSOCIATION flourish!! My the
PAALL Alumni Association LIVE FOREVER!!
